ICan Education’s summer academic programs offer exciting and interactive options for kids who enjoy learning new things. Every student has a program tailored towards their interests and skill level. Here are the four core summer programs we offer.

English

ICan Education’s English Summer Program helps students improve their language skills by focusing on:

Math

ICan Education’s Math Summer Program turns math into fun logic exercises by focusing on:

Summer Enrichment Activities

Summer is all about exploring your imagination and making things! At ICan Education, we have several

Summer Enrichment Activities that let kids get creative by building things with their own hands. All

summer long, we have several hands-on learning enrichment activities that are sure to excite and turn

your kids into budding innovators.

 

Discover Control (Grade 2-6)

Students build Ferris wheels and swing rides while exploring the concepts of:

  • Applying Logical Thinking to Design Programs
  • Engineering Design Process
  • Forces and Motion

STEM Explorations (Grade 5- 9)

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This is an exciting program where

students explore the concepts of:

  • Design and Alternation of Machine Operations
  • Invention and Innovation
  • Testing, Evaluating & Modifying

Math & Geometry (Grade 1-6)

Students get active with their hands, while learning about:

  • 2-D and 3-D Geometry
  • Sequence and Patterns
  • Transformations

Robotics 1 (Grade 3-8)

Have you ever been curious about robots and how they work? The Robotics 1 Program promotes the

basics of computer programming and discovering:

  • Command Sequencing
  • Program Flow Model
  • Switches

Simple Machines (Grade 2-8)

Students get their hands dirty because they get to build simple machines, while learning about:

  • Levers, Pulleys, Inclined Planes, Screws, Wheel & Axle, and Gears
  • Energy Transfer
  • Experimental Design

Sound Circuits (Grade 3-8)

Students, who love exploring the mysteries of sound, enjoy the discovery of:

  • Echo Effects
  • Electronics
  • Voice Changer

Light Circuits (Grade 3-8)

Students, who show a keen interest in light circuits, enjoy learning about:

  • Application Of Light
  • Fiber Optic Communication
  • Light Energy Demonstration

Introduction to Structures: Bridges (Grade 2-6)

Students, who are interested in the structure of bridges, gain a whole new perspective when they learn

the key concepts of:

  • Abutments and Anchorages
  • Keystone
  • Suspension Technology

Real Bridge Building (Grade 5-9)

Students build realistic bridge models, while learning the concepts of:

  • Cantilever Construction
  • Stress/Strain Curves
  • Young’s Modulus

Animation (Grade 1-4)

The Animation Camp teaches students how to create their own videos they can post on YouTube. We

also explore:

  • Fully-Featured Animation Software
  • Record Sound With Built-In Microphones
  • Create Special Effects
  • Upload Movies on YouTube

Amusement Park (Grade 5-9)

Students, who enjoy roller coasters, love the Amusement Park Program, where they get to build their

own roller coaster models and explore the concepts of:

  • Relationship Between Speed, Distance, and Time
  • Relationship Between Mass and Speed
  • Slopes

Renewable Energy (Grade 5-9)

Kids who enjoy learning about energy, gain hand-on experience by building windmills and solar powered

gadgets. They also learn:

  • Energy Storage
  • Kinetic and Potential Energy
  • Mechanical and Electrical Systems

Force, Energy & Motion (Grade 2-4)

Students build cool wind racers, while learning the key concepts of:

  • Design Process
  • Logical Thinking To Design Programs
  • Trouble Shooting

 

Forces Energy & Motion (Grade 5-9)

Students take part in their own designed experiments making airplanes and parachutes, while they learn

about:

  • Applied Simple Machine Technology
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Velocity and Acceleration
